Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of your health care services if you:
-
do not have health insurance; or
-
have health insurance but do not plan to use it to pay for your services.
A Good Faith Estimate shows the charges that Rising Recovery PLC reasonably expects for the services you schedule or request.
When You’ll Receive an Estimate
If you schedule services 3–9 business days in advance, you should receive a written Good Faith Estimate within 1 business day after scheduling.
If you schedule services 10 or more business days in advance, you should receive a written Good Faith Estimate within 3 business days after scheduling.
You may also request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services. If you do, it will generally be provided within 3 business days of your request.
You may receive your estimate electronically or on paper.
If Your Bill Is Higher Than Your Estimate
If you receive a bill from a provider that is $400 or more above the amount listed on that provider’s Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.
Keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate so you can compare it with any bills you receive.
